The plan for Carissa + Josiah’s day was to hike Rattlesnake Ledge (4.5 miles + 1450 ft of elevation) & elope at the top. What actually happened: Carissa severely injured her ankle, to the point of needing a boot, just days before their ceremony. So, we enjoyed the leisurely yet beautiful jaunt down to Franklin Falls instead (2 miles + 130 ft of elevation).
They danced shrouded in mist, signed their certificate on a tree trunk, and facetimed family after vowing forever as two hikers sat and experienced their love with us.
The location changed, yes, but the day felt even more special because they made the most of their moment.
